How can a deacon help you?
Of course, you are the only one who can answer that question. However, there are some specific ways your deacon wants to try to help.

• Visiting you
• Praying for you and with you
• Rejoicing with you and your family
• Giving support in times of crisis
• Answering questions about faith or the church
• Helping you know and find fellowship with other members and families in the church
• Helping you find ways to serve in and through the church

"As pastor, let me just say that I love our deacons. Their heart for God never ceases to encourage and strengthen me.

My first experience with them was my initial Deacons meeting. Sitting down for what I thought would be a rumination of several items, I was greeted with a premise “What we try to do here is look after the spiritual needs of the families, we don’t overlap the work of committees. We have been blessed with great people who serve on those committees, that is their call. Our call is to make sure that the members of this church are oriented to God”.

Honestly, I can say that this is what they do. If you are a member of visitor, our deacons are deeply concerned that you have an ongoing, growing, saving relationship with Christ."
